Compensation

When a teacher earns a designation, the district receives additional funding from the state. NBISD has committed that 90% of that allotment goes directly to the teacher.
In Year One, designated teachers will receive a one-time lump sum payment in their August paycheck. In future years, teachers will receive annual stipends distributed in May and August.
