What is the Summer Slide?
The “summer slide” is a term for when students have learning loss over the summer and lose key skills, especially in reading.
Luckily, preventing the summer slide is something you can do at home! New Braunfels ISD is dedicated to helping our students retain their hard-earned reading skills over the summer break.
Every week, we will release short videos and tips on what you can do with your reader at home throughout the summer.
