We understand that school transitions can be challenging, particularly for our older elementary students. Therefore, any 5th-grade student for the 2025-2026 school year whose attendance zone has changed may choose to remain at their current campus.

Please note: This transfer request will apply only to 2025-2026 5th grade students and will not apply to any siblings. Transportation will not be provided. Parents will be required to apply for this transfer request using the form below.(County Line students, including all grade levels, see below for the CLE process)

If you have been granted a transfer request because you are NBISD staff, military, or a first responder, you must continue to apply for a transfer each year, as has always been the process.

County Line Transition Process:

Any CURRENT (24-25) student, 1st grade or older, will be able to finish out their elementary years at CLE should they choose. Again, these students will have the option to remain at County Line while the magnet school operates separately beginning in the 26-27 school year. 

If your family has a current or incoming Kindergarten student at County Line Elementary, you have options to consider:

Option One – Parents can choose to enroll their incoming Kindergartener or keep their current Kindergartener (next year’s 1st grader) at CLE for the 2025-26 school year. The student would need to apply for the Magnet program and be accepted to remain on the campus beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Option Two – Parents can choose to enroll their incoming Kindergartener or move their current Kindergartener (next year’s 1st grader) to their newly zoned elementary campus and bring any other CLE siblings with them to that campus to keep their family together at one campus.

Option Three – Parents can choose to enroll their incoming Kindergartener or move their current Kindergartener (next year’s 1st grader) to their newly zoned elementary campus so that their child has a consistent K-5 experience at one school, while the older CLE siblings have the option to remain at CLE.
