Veramendi Elementary School has spent the week collecting donations for the New Braunfels Food Bank as part of its 6th Annual Vera-Giving Food and Fund Drive. On Thursday, November 20th, the campus held a special drop-off event where families delivered items at morning drop off.

The school’s 3rd Grade Legendary Leaders played a key role, assisting staff by gathering donations from families as they drove through the drop-off line.

Donations will continue to be accepted through Friday, Nov. 21.

Founded in 2010 by the San Antonio Food Bank as The Kitchen Table, the New Braunfels Food Bank is an expansion of this effort to more fully serve the Comal and surrounding counties. Their focus is for clients to have food for today but to also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.
