The New Braunfels High School volleyball team proudly celebrates several athletes who earned recognition in a competitive District 26-5A. The ladies had a great season, winning 36 games en route to an appearance in the regional final.

The following Unicorns were honored:

First Team All-District: Hayden Jeffers, Kingsley Minus, and Shaylie Schaefer

Second Team All-District: Bailey Scott

Honorable Mention: Jordynn Ash, Valerie Wadas, Sadie Vajdos, and Riley Lundegreen

The Lady Unicorns won 12 games in district play this year, and finished the regular season winning 6 out of 7 games before making it into the fourth round of the playoffs and one game shy of the state semifinals.

Additionally, six Unicorns were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association’s Academic All-State team and the entire team earned Academic All-District, which means each student-athlete maintained a 90+ GPA during the first nine weeks of school.

Those who were named Academic All-State include:

Second Team: Karlee Johnston, Sophie Larsen, Natalie Ballenger, and Karrigan Staats.

Honorable Mention: Bailey Scott and Saide Moul.
