The New Braunfels Unicorns are headed to the regional semifinal and will face Boerne Champion this Friday at 7 PM at historic Alamo Stadium in San Antonio.

Champion enters the matchup following a controversial 24–21 win over PSJA North, while the Unicorns secured their spot with a commanding 63–29 victory over McAllen Memorial to claim the area championship. Earlier this season, New Braunfels defeated Champion 27-17 in Boerne. The Unicorns are coming into regionals with a record of 10-2 while Champion is 9-3 this season.

This year’s Region 4 semifinals feature a unique twist: all four remaining teams play in District 13 with the other matchup being between Smithson Valley and Pieper. The winner of the New Braunfels and Champion game will advance to face the winner of Smithson Valley vs. Pieper next week.
