Dozens of New Braunfels High School track and field athletes qualified for the regional meet after finishing strong in the area round which was held on April 9th at New Braunfels Canyon.

These athletes will be heading to the regional round at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio on April 18th and 19th. Those who advance from regionals will qualify for the state meet in Austin on May 3rd.

Highlights from the area meet included an area championship from Savanah Moya in the 1600 meter run. Additionally, Alaina Fugate also was the area champion, competing in the long jump.
