The New Braunfels Unicorn Cross Country teams made an impressive statement at their first official meets of the season in McAllen. A total of 35 teams took part in the competition last weekend.

The girls team led the way earning 1st Place overall. Leading the charge was Savanah Moya, who finished the meet in 2nd place overall. Teammate Ava Briley also had a standout performance, earning 16th place and adding valuable points to the team’s victory.

On the boys’ side, the Unicorns earned a sixth-place finish in a deep and competitive field.

Up next, the teams will be competing in the SA Friday Night Lights Meet in San Antonio on August 22nd.
