The New Braunfels High School girls cross country team is heading to state after a remarkable showing at the regional meet in Corpus Christi on October 20th. Led by standout runners Savanah Moya and Ava Briley, the Unicorns clinched second place overall, securing their spot at the UIL State Cross Country Championships.
Moya delivered a second-place finish individually, while Briley followed with a strong 10th-place finish, rounding out a top-10 of a race that included nearly 200 runners. The team will now turn its focus to the state meet, which is set for October 31st at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
As a team, the Unicorn girls finished just behind Smithson Valley. The top 5 results were:

- Boerne Champion
- Leander
- La Joya Palmview
The Unicorn boys team earned a 6th place finish as a team and competed against 23 other teams.
