It’s on to the area round for the New Braunfels High School football team! The Unicorns upended San Antonio Jay in convincing fashion, 56-16 at Northside’s Gustafson Stadium on Saturday, November 16th.

The win earns the Unicorns a bi-district championship and secures the team a spot in the area championship, where New Braunfels will meet Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (PSJAN). The area-round game is slated to be played at 7pm on Friday, November 22nd, at Calallen High School’s Phil Danaher Wildcat Stadium, located at 4001 Wildcat Drive Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Unicorns enter the game with an 8-3 overall record this season while PSJAN has a 10-1 record. The Raiders are coming off a bi-district win over La Joya Palmview 43-3. The winner of the area game will advance to the regional round to face the winner of an area round game between Smithson Valley and Edinburg Vela.

Ticketing:
• Everyone must have a ticket to enter the stadium.
• School-aged students must have a ticket.
• All students in grade 8 or below must be accompanied by a parent/guardian when entering the stadium. The parent/guardian is required to be at the stadium for the duration of the game.
• Anyone sitting in the reserved section must have a reserved ticket regardless of age.
• Anyone who leaves the stadium will not be allowed to re-enter without purchasing another ticket.
