The New Braunfels Unicorns football team is ready to kick off their 2024 UIL state playoff journey with an opening-round matchup against the San Antonio John Jay Mustangs. The game will be played on Saturday, November 16th. Kickoff is set for 2pm at Gustafson Stadium at the Don Hardin Athletic Complex in San Antonio, 7001 Culebra — San Antonio, Texas 78238.

The Unicorns (7-3, 5-2) ended the regular season with a big 41-14 win over the Wagner Thunderbirds. The Mustangs (9-1, 7-1) wrapped up regular season play with a 39-10 win over San Antonio Southside.

Ticket Information:

• Presale student tickets: $4
• Presale adult tickets: $8
• Tickets at the gate (starting one hour before kickoff): $9

Tickets can be purchased online at NISD Athletics. Please note that everyone entering the stadium, including all school-aged students (first grade and above), must have a ticket. Reserved seating is available, and anyone sitting in these sections must hold a reserved ticket, regardless of age.

Stadium Policies:

• No outside food or drinks are permitted in the stadium.
• Strollers are not allowed in the stands.
• Tailgating is prohibited on the premises.
• In line with UIL policy, drones are not allowed at any scrimmage or game.
• Once a guest exits the stadium, re-entry will require purchasing a new ticket.

Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch a live stream on the northside sports network.
