Long Creek High School celebrated two outstanding seniors during the September 14 regular meeting of the New Braunfels ISD Board of Trustees. Sariah Nunes and Noah Sides were recognized as Long Creek High School’s September Seniors of the Month.

As members of Long Creek High School’s first graduating senior class, both students have demonstrated leadership, dedication and a commitment to making the most of their high school experience.

Sariah Nunes

Sariah Nunes has attended Long Creek High School all four years and has played an important role in building the school’s drill team program from the ground up.

A member of the Embers Dance Team throughout high school, Sariah served as a two-year Colonel and helped establish the program during its inaugural year. Through her involvement, she has developed leadership, discipline, dedication and perseverance.

Sariah said her time in dance has also taught her important lessons about personal growth and the importance of protecting her peace. She hopes to carry those lessons with her and share them with others throughout her future.

After graduating from Long Creek High School, Sariah plans to attend college and pursue a career that combines her interests in dance and teaching.

She is the daughter of Amanda and Sean Murphy and Chad and Brandy Nunes.

Noah Sides

Noah Sides is a member of Long Creek High School’s inaugural graduating class. As a military dependent, Noah has attended eight schools throughout his academic career. Although this is his first year at Long Creek High School, he is honored to finish his high school career as a Dragon and member of the school’s first senior class.

Noah has been active in athletics, JROTC and community service. He is a member of the Long Creek varsity football defense and participates in the JROTC Raiders Challenge.

Throughout high school, Noah has participated in Army JROTC, steadily advancing through the ranks from Private to Master Sergeant. He previously served as a Battalion S3 Chief of Operations and currently serves as the Battalion Commander for Long Creek’s JROTC program.

He is also a member of the JROTC Color Guard, participating in flag ceremonies at football games as well as city and county events.

Beyond school, Noah has served as an altar server for three years and participated in community outreach efforts, including helping provide breakfast for Soldiers. He has also been a Scout since first grade and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment he is especially proud of.

Following graduation, Noah plans to complete a four-year ROTC program at a college or service academy before commissioning as an active-duty officer in the United States Army. Inspired by his father’s example, he hopes to continue a legacy of leadership, service and commitment to the nation.

Noah is the son of David and Alana Sides.
