The New Braunfels Middle School Varsity Band has earned a prestigious honor—an invitation to perform at the YOSA Invitational this spring. The ensemble will take the stage at the renowned Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio on Tuesday, May 19th at 1:30 p.m.

The YOSA Invitational, hosted by Youth Orchestras of San Antonio, showcases some of the most accomplished student ensembles in the region. New Braunfels Middle School band program is under the direction of Jeffrey Keyes.

Performing at the Tobin Center, one of the state’s premier performance venues, will provide students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an opportunity to represent NBISD on a regional stage.

“This invitation reflects the outstanding level of musicianship and dedication our students have achieved,” said Dr. Marty Lenard, NBISD Director of Fine Arts. “We are incredibly proud of their commitment to excellence and look forward to seeing them shine this May in San Antonio.”

This will be the second time an ensemble has performed at the Tobin Center. The New Braunfels High School Wind Ensemble was awarded the opportunity to perform at the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio Invitational in 2024

The community is invited to attend and support the NBMS Wind Ensemble at the Tobin Center as they showcase their talents alongside other top-performing groups from across the area. More information about YOSA can be found here.
