The New Braunfels ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 school calendar during a regular monthly Board of Trustees meeting that was held January 13th. The calendar includes holidays, early release dates, staff work days and an outline of the grading periods.

NBISD will start school on Monday, August 18th, 2025, and the last day of school will be Thursday, May 21st, 2026.

The district will observe the following student and staff holidays: Labor Day (Sept. 1); Comal County Fair Day (Sept. 26); Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 24-28), Winter Break (Dec. 22-Jan. 2); Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 19); Presidents’ Day (Feb. 16); Spring Break (March 9-13); Good Friday (April 3); and Easter Monday (April 6). Additionally, the following days will be Student Holidays and Staff Work Days or Professional Development Days – Oct. 10; Oct. 13; Dec. 1; Feb. 13; and  March 16. 

The nine-week grading period is consistent across all grade levels and campuses again this school year. The nine-week grading periods are as follows:
