Dogs for Law Enforcement (DLE), a national K9 police training organization, has recognized New Braunfels ISD and Superintendent Dr. Laurelyn Arterbury for their ongoing support in providing training spaces for the organization’s annual seminar.

The collaboration is part of NBISD’s commitment for strong partnerships with local law enforcement agencies and the community.

The Comal County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office hosted the seminar and worked closely with NBISD on providing facilities for the week-long event. The training sessions focused on narcotics detection, explosives detection, and patrol K9 operations.

“This is just showing how much we appreciate Dr. Arterbury and NBISD for allowing us to use facilities,” Kenneth Smith of DLE and Precinct 3 said.

The success of this year’s seminar led to DLE’s plans to return to New Braunfels in October for another training session.
