Readers from New Braunfels Middle School and Oak Run Middle School gathered in the Oak Run Middle School Library for the annual Meet in the Middle: Battle of the Books competition on Saturday, April 12th. The students were tested on their knowledge from a wide selection of books in a trivia-style game based on questions about the readings.
The event is organized each year by NBMS Librarian Amanda Alden and ORMS Librarian Amanda Hunt, who work together for a special day for students to show off their knowledge.
“We are so proud of all the kids that participated this year!” Hunt said.
This year’s top honors went to The Upside Down Readers from NBMS, who took 1st place. Members of The Upside Down Readers are Lauren Heinz, Harper Black, Trevin Stanford, Landrie Haffner, and Madi Alanis.
