Get ready for some fun, fandom, and fantastic costumes! New Braunfels ISD librarians are proud to present the 2nd Annual Mythicon for ALL NBISD students on Tuesday, May 13th, from 4:30–7:00pm at the McKenna Events Center.

The event is a celebration of comic book culture and creativity where students can explore a world of superheroes, gaming, and more. 

This is a free, districtwide event and it is open to all NBISD students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade.

Those in attendance can expect many activities including a gaming truck, interactive activity stations, photo booths, live author meet-and-greets, cosplay contests, prize room (“Prizetopia”) and much more!

How it Works:

Attendees will check in at the front of the McKenna Event Center welcome booth. They will get a wristband to let librarians know they’ve already checked in and can come in and out easier. They will also get a stamp card. They must visit at least 10 vendor booths to chat with the vendors or activity stations to complete the activity at the station to earn a stamp. Once they get 10 stamps, they can visit Prizetopia for a free book, toy, fidget, bracelet, candy, etc. They may do this as many times as they want. Last call for stamp cards will be at 6:45PM.

Dress as your favorite superhero, anime character, comic book icon, or pop culture favorite and participate in the cosplay contest. Winners will receive gift cards!

Cosplay Contests:

• Elementary Contest (Ages 3+ – 5th grade): 5:00 PM

• Secondary Contest (6th – 12th grade): 5:30 PM
