New Braunfels ISD is proud to recognize the Horace Mann Educators Foundation for their generous grant supporting the district’s Legendary Leaders program. This meaningful investment helps empower students who are making a positive impact across NBISD campuses and throughout the local community.

“We are incredibly thankful to the Horace Mann Educators Foundation for their generous grant for our Legendary Leaders,” said NBISD Director of Counseling Services Kellye Shipman. “Our NBISD Counseling Department was honored to accept this support alongside some of the amazing students who make this program so special across our district.”

Legendary Leaders is a student-led club sponsored by NBISD school counselors that focuses on promoting kindness, compassion, and service. Through kindness campaigns, food and supply drives, and community outreach projects, students are learning what it means to lead with heart while creating meaningful connections both on and off campus.

The grant from the Horace Mann Educators Foundation will help expand opportunities for students to serve others and continue building a legacy of compassion. Their support reinforces the importance of student leadership and the power young people have to inspire positive change.
