New Braunfels ISD is proud to celebrate seven outstanding FFA members who earned the prestigious Lone Star FFA Degree, the highest state-level honor awarded by the Texas FFA Association.

Students and teachers from New Braunfels High School and Long Creek High School attended the Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth, where the degrees were awarded. This year, only two percent of Texas FFA members earned this distinguished recognition, making it one of the organization’s most significant achievements.

The Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment to agricultural education, community service, and success through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs.

New Braunfels High School students Gunnar Shelton, Aimee Cortes, Gertie Dudley, Ella Barber, Chesten Kell and Paxtyn Cochran (not pictured) earned the honor under the guidance of FFA advisors Darryl Nowotny and Kayla Hughes.

Long Creek High School students JulieAnne Barrett and Collin Creswell also received the Lone Star FFA Degree with the support of their FFA advisors, Kristen Moore and Karen Dudley.
