Nearly 300 second through fifth graders from New Braunfels ISD put their academic skills to the test during the A+ Academics competition that was held at Klein Road Elementary on Saturday, March 29th. 

A+ Academics features dozens of events for students, covering a wide range of subjects that support classroom instruction while also fostering skills applicable across multiple disciplines.

Competitors from NBISD participated in events such as creative writing, storytelling, and ready writing, among others. These contests provide students with an opportunity to hone their writing, comprehension, and critical thinking abilities in a competition format.

Statewide, approximately 3,000 Texas schools participate in A+ Academics, with students competing in more than 350 district meets annually. 

The program’s mission is to challenge young minds, inspire academic excellence, and cultivate a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
