New Braunfels ISD celebrated Texas Coaches Day on November 7th!

The Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) proudly announces the celebration of Texas High School Coaches Day which is officially recognized by Texas Senate Concurrent Resolution 38. This annual observance honors the unwavering dedication, leadership, and service of high school and middle school coaches across the Lone Star State.
Texas High School Coaches Day is more than a symbolic gesture—it’s a heartfelt recognition of the vital role coaches play in shaping the lives of student-athletes. From the locker room to the classroom and beyond, coaches serve as mentors, motivators, and role models, instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance that last a lifetime.

The THSCA is leading this year’s celebration by encouraging schools, communities, and student-athletes to show appreciation for their coaches through social media tributes, school events, and personal messages of thanks throughout the week. Many professional athletes who played high school sports in Texas have provided videos expressing their gratitude for the impact coaches have had on their lives. The day also serves as a reminder of the broader impact coaches have—not just in wins and losses, but in the lives they help shape.
