New Braunfels High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) had a successful showing at the Palo Alto College Leadership Development Event (LDE) held on October 31st in San Antonio. Competing in various events designed to develop leadership skills, students from NBHS brought home several medals and are now getting ready for district.
Charlie Conn earned 1st place in Greenhand Creed Speaking, while the Public Relations team, made up of Fiona O’Neal, Clara Hairell, and Haylen Bertolacci, brought home 2nd place. The Ag Advocacy team, which included Helen Dudley, Gertie Dudley, Emilie Gallaher and Trevor Roberts placed 3rd overall.
In the Greenhand Chapter Conducting category, Emery Homann, Charlie Conn, Saylor Soechting, Lexi Golla, Brodee Arnold, Joaquin Dudley and Logan Parks earned 3rd place for their skills in parliamentary procedure. Alejandra Gomez placed 9th in Spanish Creed Speaking, while Fiona O’Neal also represented NBHS in Senior Creed Speaking. The Radio Broadcasting team made up of Tayanna Henry, Ella Barber and Lauren Whiteside also competed.
