The New Braunfels High School esports team had a strong performance in the National High School Esports League, competing the south central time zone. The team’s Valorant squad qualified for the playoffs and has been dominating the competition.
After an impressive first-round playoff win, the Unicorns got the win over an opponent from San Antonio. The team was invited to compete live at the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT), an organization dedicated to transforming communities through STEM education and innovation.
In a best-of-three series, the Unicorns emerged victorious with a 2-1 win. The win secured the team a spot in the semifinals scheduled for next Monday.
