New Braunfels High School recognized nine student-athletes as they took the next step in their athletic and academic journeys during National Signing Day, held in the NBHS Gym on February 5th. They were joined by fellow students, teammates, coaches and family members during the signing ceremony.

The following Unicorn athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent:

Football

Rylan Baldwin signed to play Division II football at Texas A&M Kingsville. A standout defensive lineman, Baldwin was named First Team All-District and selected for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Team, which recently played at the Alamodome. He is the son of Randi Freeman and Zach Baldwin.

Cole Redding, a multi-sport athlete, committed to Harding University in Arkansas, the 2023 NCAA Division II National Champions. Redding has earned First Team All-District honors twice, was named First Team All-State at safety, and was a San Antonio Sports All-Star in both football and basketball. He also is part of a team that holds the school record in the 4x400m relay. He is the son of Joni and Jody Redding.

Volleyball

Brooklyn Kasuba signed to play at Chattanooga State Community College in Tennessee on a full scholarship. A three-year varsity letter winner, she earned Academic All-District honors as a sophomore and senior and has also competed in basketball and track. She is the daughter of Tiffany and Hampton Eudy.

Bailey Scott committed to Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio on a full scholarship. She has had a stellar volleyball career, earning multiple accolades, including 2022 Newcomer of the Year, 2023 First Team All-District, and 2024 Academic All-State Honorable Mention. She is the daughter of Jamin and Michael Scott.

Golf

Ava Martinez will continue her golf career at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, a Division III school, where she received a partial scholarship. She is the daughter of Leticia and Chris Martinez.

Soccer

Chase Onnen, after overcoming injuries, signed to play for FC Odisea in Spain on a partial scholarship. He is the son of Erica and Christopher Onnen.

Kaitlin Sprey committed to Centenary College in Louisiana, a Division III program. She has been recognized as a Second Team All-District selection. She is the daughter of John and Kris Sprey.

Baseball

Cole Tavarez, a multi-sport athlete, signed to play Division III baseball at Hardin-Simmons University. He was also a member of the NBHS track team. He is the son of Jana and Hiram Tavarez.

Softball

Emma Rodamer has signed to play softball for San Diego City College in San Diego, California. She is the daughter of Jennifer Ferguson.
