The road to state continues for Long Creek’s wrestling team, and this weekend proved just how far the wrestling program has come in a short amount of time. Competing at the district meet, Long Creek wrestlers delivered standout performances, earning three district championships and four regional alternate spots.

Leading the way were Cruz Morales, Laila Wetzel, and Leah De La Fuente, each capturing 1st place finishes and District Championships in their weight classes. Long Creek also secured four Regional Alternates, with Tegan Horine, Savannah Sauceda, Max Ramirez, and Landon Redhead all earning 5th place finishes.

The work isn’t finished yet. The next stop is Regionals, where the Dragons will look to continue their postseason push and keep the road to state rolling.
