In just its first year of varsity eligibility, the Long Creek Dragons boys basketball team is headed to the postseason.

The Dragons have earned a berth in the UIL Class 4A playoffs and will face Austin LBJ High School in the bi-district round. The matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24th at Lehman High School in Kyle, with tipoff set for 8 p.m.

Long Creek closed out the regular season on a strong note, winning four of its final five games to secure third place in District 26. The Dragons enter the playoffs with an impressive 20-12 overall record and a 5-5 mark in district play.

Their opponent, Austin LBJ, brings a 22-12 overall record into the contest and claimed first place in District 25 with a perfect 14-0 district record.

The winner will advance to the area round of the playoffs, scheduled to take place February 26th, 27th, or 28th.
