New Braunfels ISD will celebrate the completion of Phase 2 at Long Creek High School with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Performing Arts Center and Dragon Stadium on Wednesday, September 9, at 5:30 p.m.

The event will mark an exciting milestone for Long Creek High School and the New Braunfels community as the campus is now complete and will provide students with expanded opportunities in academics, fine arts and athletics.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin inside the Long Creek High School Performing Arts Center at 5:30 p.m. The celebration will include remarks from district and campus leaders, and board members, along with refreshments and an opportunity for those in attendance to check out the new facility.

Following the ceremony in the Performing Arts Center, guests will transition to Dragon Stadium, where the celebration will continue on the field with a ribbon-cutting to open the new stadium.

The Performing Arts Center and Dragon Stadium were made possible through the 2024 NBISD Bond, which was approved by voters to support the district’s growing student population and provide modern learning, fine arts and athletic facilities.

The ribbon cutting will also lead into one of Long Creek High School’s traditions, Release the Dragons, which will begin at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. Release the Dragons will welcome students and families for an evening of celebration as the Long Creek community comes together to officially kick off another year.

Community members are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremonies and join students, families, staff and supporters for Release the Dragons.
