New Braunfels High School volleyball players Hayden Jeffers and Kingsley Minus have received top honors from state coaching associations for their outstanding performances in the classroom and on the court during the 2024 season.

Jeffers, a sophomore, has been named to the Texas High School Girls Coaches Association (THSGCA) Super Elite Team. This prestigious recognition is reserved for only 12 players in the state in Class 5A. 

Minus, a junior standout player for the Unicorns, has been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Volleyball All-State Team. This honor recognizes the top players in the state. 

Both Minus and Jeffers each have reeling in accolades following a successful season on the court. Both girls were recently named to the San Antonio Express-News All-Area Team. 

The Lady Unicorns went 36-14 during the 2024 season, reaching the fourth round of the playoffs before falling just short of eventual state champion Flour Bluff.
