January has been proclaimed as School Board Recognition Month to honor thousands of community volunteers for their commitment and contributions to our public schools. New Braunfels ISD is joining other districts across the state to thank our board members by honoring them at the next regular monthly board meeting scheduled for Jan. 13.

The NBISD Board of Trustees consists of seven volunteers who dedicate their time and service to the students, staff and community within NBISD. The NBISD Board of Trustees includes:

  • Eric Bergquist, President, District 3
  • Nancy York, Vice President, District 2
  • Steve Minus, Secretary. District 5
  • Morgan Renaud, District 1
  • Megan Stratemann-Willis, At-Large
  • Kim Goodwin, At-Large
  • John E. Tucker, District 4

Their leadership plays a vital role in fostering academic excellence and creating opportunities for Every Student, Every Day.
