New Braunfels High School Softball Player Izzy Cruz has been awarded all-state honors by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA). Cruz is a junior who plays shortstop and was named to the Class 6A team.

This season, Cruz was stellar at the plate, crushing 19 home runs with 57 RBIs. She also had a batting average of .566. In addition to being named to the all-state team, Cruz has also been named the offensive MVP for Class 6A-27. 

She has signed to play collegiately at the University of Utah.
