The NBISD Board of Trustees has approved Future Focused 2030: A Collaborative Vision for NBISD, which is a five-year strategic plan. This plan was created by community members, staff, parents and students to help guide the district into the future.

Utilizing its four pillars, the strategic plan intends to determine what strategies and actions to prioritize over the next five years as we continue to grow, innovate, and respond to the needs of our students. This plan will guide the direction of the district and its decisions.

Through this plan, the following domains are addressed:

  • Access + Communication
  • Climate + Responsive Culture
  • Student Performance
  • Curriculum + Instruction
  • Belonging
  • Wellness

The development process began months ago with a survey to gather ideas from parents, students, staff, and the community. A Steering Committee made up of district staff as well as a Design Committee composed of students, staff, parents, and community members worked alongside one another to create the plan.

The final plan – Future Focused 2030: A Collaborative Vision for NBISD – includes four pillars with goals, purpose, and steps to reach those goals over the next five years.
