The Comal County Commissioners Court officially recognized February as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month by signing a proclamation during its meeting on February 6, reaffirming its support for programs that prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.

New Braunfels ISD Career and Technical Education Director Rachel Behnke accepted the proclamation on behalf of the district and highlighted the vital role CTE programs play in equipping students with real-world, workforce-ready skills.

NBISD offers a wide range of CTE pathways that allow students to gain practical experience in high-demand fields while developing critical skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and technical expertise. Through partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, students are able to apply their learning in authentic settings and build a strong foundation for future success.

The proclamation underscores Comal County’s commitment to supporting educational programs that strengthen the local workforce and provide students with meaningful postsecondary opportunities.
