Teachers and staff across New Braunfels ISD were met with cheerleaders, dance team members, balloons, mascots and more on May 8th and 9th as the New Braunfels Education Foundation held its annual Grant Parade with a total of $68,097.23 in awarded grants.

The event featured members of the Ed Foundation’s Board of Directors, NBISD leadership, and community supporters who traveled from campus to campus in a parade-style caravan to deliver the exciting news.

NBISD employees submit grant proposals each year, detailing projects and needs that support classroom instruction, campus initiatives, or district goals. The foundation’s board reviews each application and selects recipients.

“This is one of the best days of the year,” said Reagan Parks, Executive Director of the New Braunfels Education Foundation. “We love seeing our teachers’ faces light up with joy when they receive their grant.”

Since its founding, the New Braunfels Education Foundation has been dedicated to enriching and expanding educational opportunities for all NBISD students by supporting teachers and campuses with resources beyond the district’s traditional budget.
