The Long Creek High School Dragons Track and Field team is headed to the next level after a strong showing at the district meet recently. Multiple athletes secured top-four finishes to qualify for the Area Meet, which will take place Wednesday, April 15, at Lago Vista Viking Stadium.

The district meet was highlighted with first-place finishes by Lelah Jones in the shotput and Camden Hernandez in the triple jump. Saul Rubio earned a second-place finish in the 400m dash, Justin Jauregui earned second in the 300m hurdles and Juanez Treviño was second in the 1600m run.

The Dragons will now compete against top qualifiers from across the are as they look to continue their postseason push and qualify for the regional meet.
