NBISD athletic teams recently showed their commitment to community service by lending a helping hand to First United Methodist Church. 

The Dragons  and Unicorns worked together to unload pumpkins from trucks and pallets, placing them in the church’s courtyard in preparation for the annual pumpkin patch fundraiser. These students were able to unload the pumpkins much quicker for the church.

The church’s pumpkin patch is a fundraiser that supports various local outreach programs. 

“The importance of community service is to teach young people a selfless approach to servanthood and giving back to the community,” said Long Creek Dragon Football Coach Adam Harvey. 

The pumpkin patch is typically open throughout October and folks can tour the patch take photos and even buy and donate pumpkins!
