Two Long Creek High School student-athletes are making their ways into the history books as the first-ever Dragons to qualify for the area track and field meet. After strong performances at district on April 2nd and 3rd at Canyon Lake, Camdyn Hernandez and Saul Rubio will be advancing.

The Dragons athletic program is in its inaugural year and are competing individually at the Class 4A level. The area track meet will take place at Wimberley High School on April 9th.

Following the area meet, those who place high enough will advance to the regional meet at Texas A&M Kingsville on April 18th. The top regional finishers will punch their ticket to the UIL Class 4A State Meet  at the University of Texas at Austin on May 1st.
