Three NBISD schools were awarded thousands of dollars as part of the McKenna Foundation’s We Give Video Contest.
These NBISD schools were awarded $17,500 in total which was presented by McKenna Foundation CEO Alice Jewell to NBISD Superintendent Dr. Laurelyn Arterbury on on December 19th.
Carl Schurz Elementary was awarded the grand prize of $10,000. The second-place prize was awarded to Lone Star Early Childhood Center, for a total of $5,000 and Legend Point Elementary placed third, winning $2,500.
To win, each campus could submit only one video that was less than a minute long and showed how they choose kindness.
