The Comal County Commissioners Court recognized February as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month by signing a proclamation in support of the initiative during a meeting that was held on February 6th. 

This annual recognition highlights the CTE programs and its importance it plays in preparing students for high-demand careers while equipping them with valuable skills for the workforce.

On hand to accept the proclamation and speak on behalf of their respective districts were NBISD CTE Director Rachel Behnke and Comal ISD CTE Director Renee Martinez.  CTE Month is a public awareness campaign, hosted by ACTE and sponsored by National Association of Home Builders, that takes place each February to celebrate CTE, the accomplishments of CTE programs and the importance of CTE for all students of all ages.

Both directors emphasized the importance of CTE programs in providing students with real-world experience and career-ready skills through a variety of pathways, including health sciences, engineering, business, and skilled trades.
