New Braunfels High School is sending three standout athletes to compete at the UIL Class 5A State Track and Field Meet following impressive performances at the regional meet. The state meet will be held this Friday and Saturday at the University of Texas at Austin, with preliminary events taking place Friday and finals scheduled for Saturday.

Senior sprinter Kingston Brown qualified for state in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. He was the regional champion in both events.

Distance runner Savanah Moya earned state qualifications in the 800-meter run and 1600-meter run after strong regional performances. Moya placed second at regionals in each event.

In the field events, Paige Beeghley secured her spot at the state meet in pole vault. At the regional meet, Beeghley earned a second-place finish.

In addition to the state qualifiers, several Unicorn athletes turned in notable performances at the regional meet. The boys 4×100-meter relay team of Kenneth Harper, Stephen Brown, Colton Butler, and Kingston Brown earned a third-place finish.

In pole vault, Gavin Starnes placed fourth, while Collin Sweet finished fifth against a highly competitive regional field.
