The New Braunfels ISD Board of Trustees recognized two outstanding students from New Braunfels High School during its April meeting, celebrating their achievements both in and out of the classroom. NBHS Principal Greg Hughes proudly presented seniors Landin Jackson and Hattie Tippens as the April Seniors of the Month.

Hattie Tippens has been a student at NBHS since her freshman year in 2022 and has made a lasting impact through her involvement across academics, athletics, and service. A member of the varsity golf team, Hattie has also been actively engaged in Student Council, National Honor Society, and choir during her time at NBHS. Beyond school, she participates in NB Young Life, serves as a Unicorn Handler, and works at the David Ogrin Golf Academy.

She is also involved with Peace Lutheran Church, demonstrating a strong commitment to her community.

After graduation, Hattie plans to attend the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where she will study systems engineering and data analytics.

Landin Jackson, who has attended NBHS since the 2022–2023 school year. A leader on the varsity football team, Landin has earned numerous honors, including Academic All-District recognition, First Team All-State (Padilla Poll), and selection to the 2023 All-American Team. He has also been named Newcomer of the Year and MVP, and will serve as a team captain for the 2025–2026 season.

Off the field, Landin has contributed more than 150 hours of community service. His efforts include volunteering with the New Braunfels Mid-Texas Symphony, participating in a service trip to Puerto Rico to help rebuild churches, supporting Wreaths Across America, and assisting with local initiatives like Cold Days, Warm Hearts and Bill’s Elves Toy Drive.

Landin will continue his academic and athletic career at South Dakota State University, where he will play Division I football.

New Braunfels ISD is proud to celebrate Hattie and Landin for their hard work, leadership, and commitment to making a difference.
