NBISD has been carefully monitoring the weather and, out of an abundance of caution, we have proactively made the decision to relocate New Braunfels High School’s graduation ceremony.
Graduation will now be held at Strahan Arena at Texas State University in San Marcos. The event will still take place on Thursday, May 21. Graduation will now begin at 9:30 a.m.
We know how important this milestone is for our students and families, and we appreciate your flexibility as we work to ensure a safe and memorable experience for everyone.

Event Information
Tickets
The tickets that have already been issued by the high school will still be required for entry into Strahan Arena. Regardless of ticket color, seating is first come first served. Doors will open at 8:15am.
Student Drop Off – 810 Aquarena Springs Drive
For those student who will not be driving themselves, and will be dropped off by parents, take exit 205 to Hopkins. Turn right on to Charles Austin then right into the lot. Follow the signs for the drop-off zone. Once you have dropped off continue straight to exit the lot.
Student Arrival Time
Graduates have been instructed to arrive at the Strahan Arena by 8:15 AM. They will head in the main doors of the arena and follow the signs to the student staging area. Staff will also be present to help with directions as needed.

The only additional items students can wear are approved cords.
Caps cannot be decorated, and staff will be present checking regalia.
Parking Information for Graduation at Strahan Arena
Use the addresses provided below for directions to parking lots for Strahan Arena at Texas State University. Aquarena Springs Drive is expected to be the most congested route. Try using alternate routes to access a preferred parking lot.
UEC Lot (P9)
– 810 Aquarena Springs Drive
Take exit 205 to Hopkins, then take a right onto Charles Austin Dr. When you get to the closed portion of the road, take a right into the large parking lot, then you will be directed where to park.
Football West Lot (Shuttle Provided)
– 340 Stadium Drive
After parking, walk towards the left side of the baseball stadium until you reach Charles Austin Drive. Turn right on Charles Austin Drive and continue towards Strahan Arena.
Football East Lot (Shuttle Provided)
– 1120 Aquarena Spring Drive
After parking, walk to the right of the football stadium. Continue past gate 5 and 4. Before you get to gate 3, turn right across the railroad tracks, then turn left and follow the sidewalk towards Strahan Arena.
