[Candidate Withdrawn] Jennifer Hendriex has announced her candidacy for the New Braunfels ISD Board of Trustees, seeking to represent District 2. A resident of District 2 for the past 14 years, Hendriex is a semi-retired teacher with a strong commitment to public education. She currently has one child attending schools in NBISD and, along with her husband, Dewayne, is the proud parent of four children—three of whom have already completed their schooling.

Nancy York is running for re-election in District 2. A retired educator, York currently serves as vice president of the Board of Trustees and has represented the district since 2020. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, she retired from teaching mathematics in 2019 following a 40-year career in education and educational leadership. York has lived in New Braunfels since 2019 and has owned property in the community for more than a decade. She says serving NBISD allows her to give back to students, parents, the district, and the community. York and her husband, Leo, have a son and a daughter who both live in New Braunfels with their families.

District 4
John E. Tucker is running for re-election for the school board in District 4. He was a former NBISD trustee from 2020 until May 2023 and then he was elected once again to the board in 2024. Tucker has worked as an architect, mostly in school construction, for more than 30 years. He has lived in NBISD since 2015. From 1995 to 2011, Tucker worked for Dallas ISD, including being part of the lead team for contracting and procurement for large construction programs in 2002 and 2008. Most recently, he worked with Comal ISD on their 2015 and 2017 bond programs.
