Kimberly Goodwin

Kim Goodwin was elected to the NBISD Board of Trustees in May 2023. A proud 7th-generation New Braunfels native and 3rd-generation Unicorn, Kim graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1997. She earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University in San Marcos and currently serves as an Audit Manager for AMS-PAR, specializing in the Oil & Gas and Utility industries. Over her 18-year tenure with the company, Kim has held numerous leadership roles and participated in professional organizations.
In her time on the NBISD Board, Kim has demonstrated her commitment to advancing the district. She chaired the first-ever NBISD Legislative Advocacy Committee, and attended the Texas School Board Institute for Transformation Governance Framework at the Holdsworth Center. She also represented NBISD as a presenter along with all Trustees at the TASB 2024 Convention, sharing insights and accomplishments on behalf of the district. Through these efforts, Kim has dedicated countless hours to propelling NBISD toward a brighter future.
Kim and her husband are proud parents of two daughters who attend elementary school in NBISD. Deeply committed to her community, Kim has volunteered with organizations like the New Braunfels Little League, New Braunfels Girls Softball Association, and currently with the Sophienburg Museum and Archives.
Kim is passionate about enhancing the educational experience for NBISD students, teachers, parents, and the broader community. Her goal is to help maintain the cherished traditions and values of New Braunfels while embracing the opportunities that come with growth. Kim’s dedication to preserving the legacy of her hometown reflects her love for the community and her vision for future generations.

Megan Stratemann-Willis

Megan Stratemann-Willis was elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2022. She is a 5th generation New Braunfels native who is passionate about the history and the future of NBISD. She is a 1998 graduate of New Braunfels High School and a mother of two future NBISD graduates. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She comes from a long list of Unicorn graduates, a family of teachers, and civil servants. She was raised to have a servant’s heart and truly
believes in helping others. She has worked in the municipal electric utility field for over 18 years and understands the responsibility of representing our community with integrity.
In her spare time she can be found hanging out with family, friends, the family dogs, or at her daughters’ dance studio. She also has the pleasure of assisting with school field trips.
Her husband, Christopher, is an Army Veteran and was elected in May 2022 as the District 2 Councilman for the City of New Braunfels.

Morgan Renaud

Morgan Renaud was elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2022. She grew up in Norfolk, Massachusetts and graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston. She has lived in New Braunfels since 2019, moving to Dallas in 2017 and then San Antonio when she married her husband Chris. Renaud has had a versatile range of careers but most recently is a preschool teacher at Journey Kidz Learning Center. As a parent of a two current dragons and two future dragons, Renaud aims to serve all of the students, teachers and staff of NBISD. She has become a familiar face at
the schools through her volunteer activities and cheering on our academic, athletic and fine arts extracurricular and is excited to continue tackling goals the district has.
In her time on the NBISD Board, Morgan was chair of the first-ever NBISD Good Governance Committee. She also represented NBISD as a presenter along with all Trustees at the TASB 2024 Convention. Morgan has worked tirelessly to bring a community and parent voice to board meetings through empathy, positivity and communication. She advocates for transparency and student involvement in choices the district makes. Every student, EVERY day.
She and her husband Chris live with their four kids, Lilly, Gavin, Levi and Graham!
