5th Grade Grandfathering Transfer Option
In response to feedback from Scenario #1, any 5th grade student for the 2025-2026 school year whose attendance zone has changed may elect to stay at their current campus. This transfer request will apply only to 2025-2026 5th grade students and will not apply to any siblings. Transportation will not be provided. Parents will be required to apply for this transfer option. More information on where and when to apply for this request will be coming after the March school board meeting when the final attendance zones will be approved.

Phase In Approach for Magnet School at County Line Elementary (Draft)
In response to feedback from participants  in attendance at the first community forum, as well as responses through the online form, our team has reviewed the initial timeline and adjusted to provide a multi year phase in plan to open the magnet school inside County Line Elementary. We hope this will allow students and staff time to transition and minimize the impact on families.

County Line Transition Process:
Any CURRENT student, 1st grade or older, will be able to finish out their elementary years at CLE while the magnet school operates separately, but at the same time. Based on the options and chart below, County Line parents will be required to notify the district which campus their child will attend (CLE or their new zoned school) during the process of transitioning to a magnet school. More information will become available on the notification process before the transition begins in the 2026-2027 school year.

Options for families to consider if they have a student in Kindergarten or 1st grade in 2025-26 at County Line Elementary (CLE)

Option One – Parents can choose to enroll their Kindergartener or keep their 1st grade student at CLE for the 2025-26 school year. The student would need to apply for the Magnet program and be accepted to remain at CLE beginning with the 2026-27 school year. 

Option Two – Parents can choose to enroll their Kindergartener or move their 1st grade student to their newly zoned elementary campus and bring any other CLE siblings with them to that campus to keep their family together at one campus. 

Option Three – Parents can choose to enroll their Kindergarten or move their 1st grade student to their newly zoned elementary campus so that their child has a consistent K-5 experience at one school.   Older CLE siblings can remain at CLE.  Parents would need to provide transportation.
